England Post, part 2
Aug. 11th, 2006 11:01 amHello all again. Day 2 of England pictures begins!
First off:
There's going to be a smores night at my house saturday night... anyone who wants to come is free to come, it's a fun chill evenin' of smores, fire, music, and long deep talks... possibly swimming. so yeah.. let me know if'n yeh wanna come.
Right now, I am listening to:
Father's Day - Sincere Deceivers
seriously check this band out, their amazing... the lead singer is one of my fellow AL's from ISIS, matt (see picture below) he's wicked good at the geetar, and can sing just as well. Listen... listen and spread the word.
Okay: Todays England Blurb:
Places I Went:
Stratford-upon-Avon * 4 times * The town itself is really nice, and I'm sure theres plenty to do with more time. Shakespeare's "birthplace" (they aren't sure) is the worst attraction ever though. You get shuffled through this little house with nothing to see and little information. Nice little park to sit in during free time though. Best sweets shop ever.
Cheltenham * 2 times * Cute little town, mostly for shopping for the kids, but has a quaint little museum we take them through. Some of the stuff is really interesting, especcialy the newer exhibits... but the kids don't give a shit.
London * 3 times * Took the students to the Eye, then instead of going on it, went on a boat ride down the thames with the other A.L.s (left camera at home :() Once to the British Museum (Rosetta Stone!)/Harrods. Once to do a general walking tour of the city... every site ever.
Greenwich * 1 time * To see my cousin, and her two sons! Great day, had a lot of fun, saw a couple of good short plays, lumped into one show.
Brighton * 1 time * Nice beach city... fun little pier. Sat on the beach during the students free time, then went to the Royal Pavilion (no pictures allowed there) But it was an amazzing building. Fun day, overall.
Christ Church College * 3 times * College of Oxford University where Harry Potter was filmed. Fairly boring really.
Pitt Rivers Museum * 1 time * kindof interesting... the museum you go through to get to it is better though.
Ashmolean * 2 times * Actually A pretty nice little museum. some amazing, and very fantastic art, and cool egyptian section.
Oxford Walking Tour * 1 time * not too long... which is nice
Thorpe Park * 1 time * England amusement park... hells yeah
Warwick Castle * 1 time * Awesome. FANTASTIC. could've spent all day there... but the students teachers had to ruin it.
Windsor Castle * 1 time * decent... cathedral is the best part.
I think thats it... pictures anyone?
P.S. I have a bunch of street shots to go through as well.
Midday Nap
