Those of you who've been with me for a while know well of Draw A Dinosaur Day. Of it's humble livejournal beginnings 5 years ago, of it's first year of 12 dinosaurs, it's second year of 50, third year of 175, fourth year of about 300. Now it's the fifth year. It has it's own website, and it's growing.

It's exciting to see it do so. Draw A Dinosaur Day is a day I invented, and it's a fun and simple way to get people to do something creative and fun. It's this sunday, and you know you want to participate.

If you want to spread the word on your own blog, that would be SUPER sweet, but really all I ask is that you draw a dinosaur on january 30th, put it on the website, and anywhere else you want to. Take a few minutes to do something silly and fun with your life. You won't regret it.

Today has been a weirdly shitty day. Todays doodle book ended up having a pretty messed up looking Stalin. I'm learning. Someday I'll have this figured out. It looks a little better in person, though.

I've been trying to teach myself to draw.

This is Matt [chibi_masshuu] and Alex [darke].

It's an image of them that Alex took in San Francisco, that I used as a base. I haz a tablet I got for photo editing, I've been using it for drawing, too. This is basically an enhancement on tracing at this point.

I'm really happy with how this came out.
