Made this mix for my sister, and put a copy on my ipod for the drive up (back for Jacin... she and pat have no cds for the drive, so she asked me to make her some.. cue this mix.

Thought I'd share it through the interwebs with the new seeqpod business... found almost every song, except some really indie people and all hands on deck pt 1 & 2.

Should cover the whole trip, excepting the traditional bit where Jackson Browne's The Pretender gets played- when we (me, this time) hit the maine bridge.

I am Proud to be an American

No matter what, no matter who our president is, even if I don't appreciate him, I do appreciate the strides taken to develop our country and make it what it is. It's true, there are many improvements that need to come, but I do believe that we have a powerful heritage, and as a young country are moving along strongly. Be proud. You have the ability to fight for the changes you want. If you dislike something, be a patriot and write, email, or even call your representatives, even the president (I've called the white house.) Fight for the changes you wish to see, don't simply sit back and complain about them, that accomplishes nothing.. take advantage of your right as an american. You don't like the current state of affairs, I don't for the most part. But you do have to work for a new, and better state of affairs.

Yesterday I got two mails. Both of which were really exciting.


My new AA hats! Thanks mucho grande to [livejournal.com profile] _angry_alan.

So totally pumped. I wonded the yeller won, and got the black one... and am now owning 3 AA hats. Its alternating time. So excited... I tend to be wearing hat every day and I have to wash the gray one.... badly.

I had shots of me wearing them. Like in the icon but with clothes that matched, but they didn't turn out too well. nope.

PS. You totally underestimate how awesome his business card is till you see it in person

Summer is in full swing, and this cubs mind is back to the parkour grindstone. I suck at timing things right with the self timer, but I managed to get a few decent shots of the PK training

And you all need to watch this video (Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice ((thanks meg for the link)) ) Christopher Walken. Aparently he choreographed it himself, too! It reminds me a little bit of the Since I left you video

And that was PK training. And I got into the pool. sweet.

Today is moms schools show - Seussical, which I'm shooting for the directors portfolio. Almost forgot about it. Should be a good time.... plus it means I get to go to modern. Fuck yeah - best pizza in new haven... which means best pizza.. period. (Don't you new yorkers even try)

And I got good news from the Kingston Volunteer Fire Department meeting with them tomorrow night to discuss getting involved. W00T!

reflection obsession is back.

And the highlight of my day: going to the library and taking out Software Visualization, Franny and Zooey, and Mein Kampf all at once, and watching the librarians reaction to this combination.

As a sidenote, can someone tell me why the library has 3 copies of Mein Kampf and ZERO copies of The Catcher in the Rye? The librarian couldn't either.

Oh, and since when is there a female Wolverine? X-23.... I was reading the new X-men #33 during lunch cause I hadn't really done the comic thing in a while... and was a little thrown off. I've read up now... interesting. Does the beast look cute and fuzzy to anyone else in this?

Right now I'm re-watching the music video for Here it Goes Again - Ok Go Just watch it

I have a dream (this is not meant to be a mockery of MLK, btw) But anyway. I have a dream, of getting like, 12 people together. And us twelve people will spread out about every 3 feet on a sidewalk, or on a train and we will, at the exact time put on earphones, and at the exact same time, begin dancing. Not some random dance, no. An entirely choreographed step by step movement,with complex choreography, and immensely cheesy moves. At the same time. Maybe even groups of 4 spread out a little further. Think Community theater musical. We will not be wearing anything special, and we won't walk there together. We will walk their from separate places, stand on our given place, face the street, and await the given signal. And people will be confused. Hopefully they will be amused, they will laugh, and their day will be a little better?


Simply for the sake of doing it.

So ... who wants in?

Sidenote: Harry Houdini's Box of Doom, the Long Form Improv group I'm in here at PC. The only long form improv group here at PC. has officially begun this year. We're planning on having a show in early October. So .. um... keep all of early October open.

So its been forever since I've posted any semblance of something real.

Life has been going pretty well, I'm officially done with all finals (after having pounded out three 4 page papers in an hour and a half). And I've managed to retain a cume over 3.0- which is a very good thing.

I've been busy since then... I've learned the trombone parts from Streetlight Manifesto's, and some of Catch 22's songs- which brings me to what I'm listening - The live version of A Better Place A Better Time I also discovered that Streetlight will be coming to Providence with Reel Big Fish this summer... I may go.

I've ordered my new camera, which should arrive between the 24th and the 2nd. I can't wait.

I've emailed all sorts of congress people requesting that they go against the FMA. I'd suggest that you do the same through the HRC OR Through direct email. I've done both. The constitution is supposed to go against discrimination, not support it, no matter what your religious beliefs are, you must remember that the US is not a religious institution... its actually supposed to be a separation of church and state.

On a related note, I was chosen to be a commentary in one of the recent Cowls, supporting gay marriage - the article is here- its not the best written, I wrote it in the ten minutes before the comp lab closed, but i did my research. Read it Here. It's a response to this commentary: Here

Okay Sociopolitical rampage over. The Long Form Improv group I'm in: Harry Houdini's Box of Doom is already preparing for next year! Aren't you excited? Each group member is preparing a box to use in the game of snatch. I'm making DaVinci's Box of Everything. Exciting, I know. I've also been writing some standup I want to try out at an open mic somewhere this summer... we'll see how that goes.

Civ down, about to start studying for Calc (shoot me, please)

Had a great weekend, friday night went bowling with Elyse and Joe, then we got coffee before going back to PC to wander around, and eventually play kickball. Saturday night was the theater banquet "your parents prom" was the theme, very fun. Parents came up to visit Sunday, to have a burfday dinner - good times all around.

listening to Eve 6 - Inside Out One of the songs on the "Remember when that was cool?" list... still fun to listen to.

need to get creative urges out before I do the whole math studying thing... so I'm just going to write something... we'll see what it is when I finish.. I have no clue what I'm going to write, but I'm only giving myself like 15 minutes.

The steel made his hand cold, it pressed against his palm in a comforting, but not comfortable way. The grooves along the grip etched lines into his palm, and left just enough room for droplets of sweat to trickle through, causing Robert to itch in a most inconvenient manner. "Shit..." he mumbled softly, adjusting his lips to allow the cigarette to dangle out of the left side while he exhaled smoke through his lips. A confident lear appeared on his mouth and he let the cigarette drop, twisting his foot over the embers abrasively before moving towards the dustridden window. He squinted through the dirty glass in an attempt to make out the figures approaching the building, but soon gave in to the grime and made a firm sweep across the glass with his shirt sleeve. Vision. It was the people he expected to see. He recognized the navy blue outfits immediately. Effortlessly, catlike, he maneuvered up the steel stairs, moving gently, avoiding creaks and bangs, still nursing his metal friend. The barrel was the coldest part, the handle felt warm now, uncomfortable. He let it dangle, uncocked by his side and used his other hand to pat the chest pocket of the tan sports jacket he wore. He felt the Compact Discs round shape and smiled again- after all, he had been successful. A few more movements and he would be finished, he could deliver the disk to Synerco and be done for good, living the rich life. He paused on the last step, and allowed himself a quick daydream. Palm trees and margaritas, hot chicks and easy lays. It inspired him, and he took the last step.

He did not expect his foot to miss the last step. He definetly did not expect to fall onto the catwalk and make a surprising amount of noise... but mostly, he did not expect to drop his pistol to the floor of the warehouse, 30 feet below. He cursed silently under his breath, but then remained silent, moving forward on his hands and knees, then lieing down so the lip of the catwalk hid him. Things were going to be harder now. The black air of the warehouse was suddenly pierced with the white of daylight, dust moved in silhouettes of the light, as the low creak of the door did nothing to aid the investigators position.

Robert cursed quietly again, he'd just have to do things the hard way. Hugging the floor, he maneuvered silently around the catwalk, moving slowly and silently till he was behind the two officers. He heard their quiet conference below, and peeked over the edge to see them standing back to back, guns drawn, circling nervously. It was all he could do to keep from chuckling out of sheer pleasure from their fear- he'd developed quite the reputation. Thinking quickly, Robert gripped the pen from his pocket, and threw over the catwalk, so that it landed in the dark corner. The officers jumped, and faced the corner - Robert leered and wondered how they had made the force. as they slowly approached the corner, Robert began working his way down the other staircase, careful not to make the same mistake he'd made before.

Pallets lay on the floor below, and provided substantial cover for Robert to move in the direction of his pistol... he moved closer, and closer, until finally he reached the weapon, cocked the hammer back, and pulled the trigger.

No bullets came out.

(a) - Robert fumbles with the pistol, to find it empty, and him devoid of bullets
(b) - before he can do anything, the officers fire
(c) - Robert makes a run for it, dashing for the open door

I've got what is the current final copy of my schedule for next year. It's going to be harsh if I can't change it, I'll check every day this summer if I have too. I'm not very good at math... at all- so this may be the death of me...
