It seems the only way to make myself actually post here is to be in an active 365 project.
So here it is. 365 days of film. I'm only going to post the main photo here, ever, if there are more I'll include a link to flickr or tumblr where the rest will be going up.
Okay, kids, let's do this.
[Sidebar: I would try and upload a "my favorites from 2011" post, but I would have to finish editing 2011 first]
We had a birthday party for Katie at my apartment, and I left early to pick up my brother in law from the airport, then drive down to meet my family at the hotel we were staying in for my cousins wedding that weekend. When we arrived there was a great drunken cheer and we were informed that we were, at the grooms bidding, going swimming. In the atlantic ocean. In May. At 2 am. After some Harry Belafonte and limbo to spriten us up, and some glasses of wine, we accomplished our freezing cold, incredibly stupid, and unstoppably memorable act.
My band, the DIRTY WATER BRASS BAND! Will be playing at Honk! This saturday. We're on at 3PM at the Dilboy VFW, and at 8pm at Davis Square Plaza, which is the little thing next to Starbucks and across the street from Diesel Cafe.
If you're not available for that/if that isn't enough for you, there is a pre-honk event with two other awesome honk bands at 8pm on Thursday Night at the Oberon: http://www.cluboberon.com/events/
HONK! is an AWESOME day of non-stop music goodness. There are a TON of great bands there, from all over the place. Ones I experienced last year and would recommend
Rude Mechanical Orchestra, What Cheer! Brigade, Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band*, EE - Environmental Encroachment* [I have not yet seen, but plan on checking out young fellaz and hungry march]
There are TONS of AWESOME AWESOME bands at HONK though. So come down and check them, and us, out. Hope to see you there!
Here is my line-up for what I'm going to watch Saturday:
*-Also at thursdays gig!
